Mobile Monday – Michigan

Mobile Monday is an international organization that works with local, regional, national and global mobile industry visionaries and developers fostering cooperation and cross-company business development through virtual and live networking events to facilitate idea sharing, best practices development, trends identification, and Mobile Industry growth locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

All Mobile Monday Chapters encourage innovation within the mobile sector and help local companies participate in mobile initiatives through the import and export of visions, concepts, technologies, know-how and best practices. By continuing to present innovative visions, trends, studies and forecasts from the mobile marketplace we facilitate and create partnerships, while contributing to the education of the broader public through virtual and in-person events and an online presence.

The Michigan Chapter will execute on these objectives, by delivering a balanced approach of business and technical content. We will look to the Michigan business community for this content, as well as beyond our State in order to make certain the Michigan community is made aware of developments taking place outside our area that can aid their business.

Our Mission

Encourage innovation within the mobile sector and help Michigan-based companies participate in mobile initiatives through the import and export of visions, concepts, technologies, know-how and best practices, as well as the development of relationships related to the mobile industry.

Mobile Monday Michigan will strive to be Michigan’s premiere mobile networking and information authority for the mobile industry.  Come network with industry executives and hear Mobile leaders speak about compelling issues surrounding market strategies, current trends and revenue generating momentum in the Mobile Industry.

We look forward to meeting you and sharing information about Mobile!

And Smile. It’s Monday!

About Mobile Monday Global

MobileMonday (MoMo) is an open community of mobile industry visionaries, developers, influential individuals, and users fostering cooperation and cross-company business development through virtual and live networking events to facilitate idea sharing, best practices development, trends identification, and Mobile Industry growth locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

MobileMonday has the following global objectives:

  • Foster an open independent innovation platform within the mobile sector
  • Facilitate industry networking between small and large companies and individuals
  • Bridge partnership exchanges between domestic and international organizations
  • To present innovative visions, trends, studies and forecasts from the mobile marketplace
  • Provide opportunities for local members to effectively participate in global initiatives
Originating in Helsinki Finland, in 2000, events are organized by some 300 dedicated volunteers from around the world and it has become an industry leading mobile platform. Chapters have held events in over 100 cities worldwide and we continue to launch new locations monthly.

Philosophy

Our philosophy includes openness, equality, inclusion and the assumption that ideas should be tested through vigorous debate, critical examination and peer review. We also believe that initiative and risk-taking should be honored and that the mobile industry plays a key role in shaping society. There is a direct relation between mobile connectivity and political, economic and social freedom, the power of democracy, the rational management of our future and the triumph of reason and enlightenment.

Most people on the planet have never touched a computer – and they never will. But it is conceivable that, one day, everyone will have a mobile phone allowing them to communicate with fellow citizens, access networks and improve the quality of their lives, their livelihood and their future.

MoMo is a tool to help the worldwide industry achieve benefits for everyone by spreading knowledge and encouraging people with good ideas to take action. As “mobile folks,” we invite you to examine how this industry can contribute to making our neighborhoods, our cities and our societies better.
